Aiming at boosting the development of Chinese cultural industries, “SZU Culture and Creativity” is an academic brand series built by SICI, including forums, book series, journal, funds, lectures and salons. Among them, “SZU Forum of Culture & Creativity” has hosted or co-organized “Cultural Industries Summit - Originality of Art and Realization of Value”, “Innovation, Creativity, Entrepreneurship: Cultural Industries Development in Colleges and Universities Forum”, “World Chinese Film Forum”, Cultural Institutions Joint Conference, Cultural & Technological Innovation Symposium, etc. The “SZU Book Series of Culture & Creativity” has published a series of academic writings, i.e. Blue Book of Culture and Technology: Annual Report of Culture and Technology Innovative Development, Regional Development Report: The Culture Creative Industries in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao, Brand Development Report of Cultural Industries in Shenzhen, Trade Development Report of Cultural Industries in Shenzhen, Originality of Art and Transition of Value and Centennial Cultural and Creative Force: Cases of Cultural and Creative Industries. The “SZU Journal of Culture and Creativity” released the Information of Cultural and Creative Industries of Shenzhen and Hong Kong fortnightly for years and received good feedback. We have recently launched a Wechat public account “New Business Forms of Culture”, which regularly posts the information about the convergence of culture & technology and new business forms of cultural industries. Each year, the “SZU Fund of Culture and Creativity” supports a range of cutting-edge research projects initiated by part-time researchers. Since its establishment, the “Liyuan Lectures on Culture and Creativity” has invited government officials, scholars and experts to give lectures, including LI Wuwei, LIU Yuzhu,YU Ping, CHEN Shaofeng, LEE Tain-Dow, WANG Liesheng, WANG Guocheng, Wang Tingxin,Michael Keane, Kevin V. Mulcahy, John Hartley, Hasan Bakhshi, Jonathan Paquette, Lyn Jeffery, Stephen Boyle, Terry Flew, Jean-Louis Roy, GUO Liangwen, Jason Potts, Kelly Snook and so forth. Being devoted to creating a platform for the idea-exchange with the elites in cultural industries, “SZU Salon on Culture and Creativity” has invited a number of successful entrepreneurs to communicate with staff and students. We are currently organizing the translation and publishing of “SZU Translation Collection of Culture and Creativity”.
